01Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh has approximately 70 tigers in 105 km² — the highest tiger density in India.
02Once a hunting reserve of the Maharajas of Rewa, it protects the ruins of a 2,000-year-old fort at its heart.
03The white tiger, first documented in Rewa in 1951, originated in these forests.
