Winter: 24–30°C, dry, gentle sea breeze. Backwaters at their calmest November–February. Monsoon (June–September) is dramatic and considered the best time for Ayurveda by Keralites themselves.

Cochin International (COK) for central Kerala. Trivandrum (TRV) for Kovalam south. Both handle wide-body international flights.
Flight time
From Europe → Kochi: 9–11h via Dubai (Emirates), Doha (Qatar), Abu Dhabi (Etihad). No direct flights.
Dress code
Light cotton and linen. Cover shoulders and knees for temple visits (Guruvayur is closed to non-Hindus; Shiva temples are open). Swimwear only at pool and private beach.
Currency
INR. All luxury properties accept international cards. Tea plantations and small artisans prefer cash — carry 5,000–10,000 INR.
